Social Network Site Events!Greetings FlyFFers
So I'd been going through FlyFF's Social Networking Sites (you know, MySpace, Facebook, XFire, and Twitter) and have noticed that they're actually quite boring and nothing more than standard fare.
After some discussion with the other GMs, we've decided to mess around with them and do something fun.
From here on out, we will be holding small, mini impromptu in game events known as Social Networking Site (SNS) Events! What does that mean? Basically, I will be posting a list of possible games here in this thread with their rules, how they work etc.
The catch? I will ONLY be announcing them on the MySpace, Facebook, XFire, and Twitter pages. That means you'll have to sign up for an account on those four sites, join our pages or follow them w/e, in order to find out when and where these events are taking place! These will be small but frequent occurrences, and none of these events will detract from any major ones that we host; so for those not interested in making a social network site profile, there won't be too much lost But, I do promise that these mini events will be novel, quirky, and fun
Is everyone clear on that? Let me give you an example. Let's say, one of the GMs wants to go in game to run a buff event (the GM will raise his INT to something ridiculous and start handing out random buffs). I will announce it only on lets say Twitter, and give the time, server, channel and location - voila, mini event for those that are following Twitter!
Or let's say we feel like spawning a random Clockworks somewhere out in the open. I will go on XFire, post a secret password, server, channel, and location...and the first 10 ppl to come up to me and say the secret password will get a clockworks spawn!
That's pretty much all there is to it!
Before I start listing the games/events we'll be holding, here are a few quick things to note:
These events/games are all GM run I'd hoped to implement more in game GM time for all of the GMs to actually see and interact with you all.
These games/events are still official events. So please don't try to interrupt them or you will face consequences.
All servers will get AT LEAST one of these events every week; possibly more!
These events will not replace or detract from any major scheduled GM event.

All right, read on for a list of events!
GM Buff Event
A random GM will be giving out super long buffs Liek, extra extra extended buffs. Plus you're free to the GM giving out buffs :3
FlyFF Trivia
We'll give you a server, channel, and location on one of the SNS pages and hold a mini FlyFF related trivia contest. People who answer questions correctly win prizes!
Red Light Green Light
Polynikes ran this event during one of the bake sales. Basically, we get a bunch of you in a line, and call out Green Light. This means that the people in the line can start moving. If we say Red Light, you have to stop. Anyone still moving loses and is DQd from the game. When we say Green Light, you may move again. This continues until there is only one person left. The last person left wins a random prize! It sounds simple, but believe me, we can mess with you all really well by calling out random colors. It was fun when Poly ran it, so I hope the rest of you all will get a chance to enjoy it!
Random Spawn
Title says it all we'll be spawning a random monster like Clockworks, or Lykanose, and we'll be giving you the location on one or more of the SNS pages!
Hide N' Seek
Hide N Seek with a SNS flare. We may post a screenshot of a location, a written hint, or even just a plain location. First person to find the GM wins a prize!
Pick Up Pet Circle
A random GM will take up to 8 participants for each round. A GM will stand in the middle of the OLD Arena outside of SM, while the 8 participants will stand on the outer ring in a circle at equal distances from the GM. Each player will have their pick up pets out. The GM will then drop random useless items like Meat Salad and Lolipops, and then drop 1 really good item somewhere in between - say a clean angel axe or a CS suit, or you know....something not lame. The person whose pet gets the item keeps it!
Password Variants
All of these events can have a password variant. Whereas an event may be announced on one or more of the SNS pages, the password to participate in an event may also be posted either here on the forums or on an SNS page different from the one the game/event was announced on.
So there you have it all :3 Do look forward to us updating this list of games as we come up with them but we do promise to run these games and events as often as we possibly can! We look forward to having a blast with you all, we'll see how things go from here on out First game will be announced on one of the aforementioned sites above tomorrow!
